We’re typically employed once the customer has already decided they definitely want signage, but every now and again we are approached to manufacture sign solutions for experimental prototypes, such as this recent created illuminated interior sign for a design agency on behalf of their high profile sportswear client.
The Nike ‘swoosh’ is a design element that the vast majority of people in the UK are aware of, so it’s no surprise that it is utilised for sign making. Sign Here were asked to manufacture the swoosh as an illuminated sign which could be mounted onto an interior wall and display unit within Nike stores. It isn’t just lettering that gets used on a sign. Our customers often ask us to adapt their logos and icons into both flat and built up signage.
The outer housing is formed from built up metal and finished with a sprayed gloss paint. Inside is a multi-unit super bright LED lighting system which is fixed to a built up metal backtray/rim (which with the rest of the housing forms a concealed cavity with no visable fixings). As a result the light passes through a CNC routed acrylic face, producing a soft white glow.
